brilliant azure of its skies. A former Portuguese settlement in the 18th
century, and a current fishing village, its stone ramparts overlook an emerald
sea fringed with miles of silvery beach where camels ferry passengers across
fine sand. Stroll through serene squares, browse artisan shops and peruse art
galleries before having a spectacular lunch by the sea, where freshly caught
fish of the day is grilled to a succulent finish before your eyes. Top it off
with famous Moroccan mint tea and delectable French pastries at one Essaouira's
many cafes. A full day will be spent at Essaouira ....... and that is where you
can take a camel ride or horse riding at the beach.

Day 4 & 5 - Agadir
Often called the Miami of Morocco, the centuries-old Berber
village of Agadir is a favorite seaside resort for Europeans and Moroccans
alike, who are drawn to its serene elegance and charm. The indigenous people of
North Africa form the Berber tribe. Predating the Arabs, these herders and
rug-weavers maintain their pre-Islamic rituals and beliefs, a heritage that can
be traced back to the Neolithic period.
Warmth and hospitality exudes in this top-rated coastal
resort where you can browse shops selling ceramics, silver and gold, and other
fine Moroccan handicrafts. Gallop on thoroughbreds across shimmering golden
sands against a backdrop of vivid blue-green sea as flocks of pink flamingos fly
past. Soar over the magnificent sea in a parachute high in the sky, jet ski
along the clear waters, or simply lounge with a cool drink in hand near a date
palm tree, soaking in the gentle caress of the brilliant sun.
Sample some of the finest Moroccan gourmet cuisine while
watching the North African sun sink in the mauve sky over green waters. Then the
starry night comes alive beating to the pulse of discos, live music and
cabarets.

gorges nestled in the High Atlas Mountains open a magic door to
spectacular vistas in the ruggedly beautiful countryside toward

African sun bathes the mountains in a brilliant pageantry of blushing
rose, glowing gold and mauve color. Sienna mud-brick Berber villages
with their cultivated farm terraces appear near rivers fringed
with date palms. We'll travel off the beaten path to discover
the exotic dance and food of Berber tribes with traditions rooted
in history that hold a magic belonging to another age.
Dinner and overnight at your charming hotel
in Tafraoute.
Day 7 -Tafraoute - Taroudant
As we head further off the beaten path, gnarled
silvery-green-leafed olive groves and almond trees line the road toward the
Berber market town of Taroudant, where tanneries and horse-drawn carriages clip
along its winding streets.
Dinner and overnight at your charming riad
in Taroudant.
Day 8 & 9 - Marrakech
An enchanting palm oasis set against the snow-capped peaks
of the High Atlas Mountains, Marrakech is Morocco's second oldest imperial city
and retains the majestic splendor of its ancient past. Buildings are blushed in
hues of rosy earth, and horse-drawn carriages clip along avenues lined with lime
and orange trees. Donkeys carrying carts trawl past fragrant gardens of roses,
honeysuckle and jasmine.
Explore the ancient Bahia Palace from the days of the harem
now populated by a sentry of nesting storks, and enter the ancient royal Saadian
Tombs. Explore the vibrant and historic Jewish mellah where some of the best
jewelry is found in Morocco, and view the majestic Koutoubia Mosque before entry
into the walled medina, seven miles long and over a 1,000 years old.
The night beats in the heart of the old city's famed
square, Djemaa el-Fna, where delectable fare is grilled over coals in bustling
torch-lit open-air markets. Mystical snake charmers, hustlers and mischievous
monkeys are part of the nightly drama unfolding as Berber acrobats, fortune
tellers, musicians and engaging storytellers seduce rapt crowds. Wind your way
through the serpentine labyrinth of the spice-filled air of the bustling souk,
unchanged for nearly 2000 years, where you'll discover the best of traditional
Moroccan craftsmanship.

Palace.
